The Little Swimr vest arrived a few days ago, and we’ve only been able to swim once briefly since then. It is supposed to fit 2-3 year olds, but it is too roomy for Doodle. Still, he was able to swim with it on. He has to work hard to stay balanced in the water, and I have all of the foam inserts in the pockets.
He was almost able to swim the width of the pool. But keeping his head up was a challenge, and he was getting worn out. I know this is better than using the water wings, though, because at least he is having to work to keep his head out of the water.
We have the straps as tight as they’ll get, so the next chance we have to swim, I’ll try pinning them with safety pins and see where that gets us.
